Cancer Can Be Beaten - Part 2 of 3

In Part 1 we talked about Percy Weston s frustrations with sheep farming in Australia because of illnesses and cancer in his sheep, which he eventually traced to his use of the new super-phosphate fertilizer on the pastures and croplands.
A soil analysis showed his farm soils were very acid and virtually drained of calcium, magnesium, potassium, zinc, iron, cobalt and several other minerals needed for animal and human nutrition. Here at last he could see cause and effect. He believed it was due to his use of super-phosphate fertilizer which is highly acidic (with a pH of 1.5) and kills essential soil bacteria and worms, upsetting the mineral balance of the soil.
Percy then experimented with salt licks containing different minerals. He searched for the best way to eliminate excess phosphorus from his sheep and to replace lacking minerals. He also switched to using natural, slower-acting non-acidic rock phosphate on his pastures. (Super-phosphate is a chemical fertilizer which is produced by the action of sulfuric acid on phosphate rock, making the phosphorus more suitable for faster release.)
Finally, after much experimenting, Percy was able to heal his sheep by providing 8 minerals that were depleted in his soil - magnesium, calcium, potassium, zinc, iron, sodium, cobalt, and sulfur. He put them in a powder form in a lick for his animals. An era of trouble-free farming began and fleeces were 20% heavier. The complete nutrition of his sheep ensured almost full immunity against disease. There was not a single case of cancer among his 600 ewes. He no longer had to vaccinate and worms were no longer a problem.
However, Percy s own health was deteriorating again. At age 39 in 1942 he developed severe arthritis in his shoulders - even confining him to bed with excruciating pain for days at a time. Even worse, he had a weeping lump in his left hand which was diagnosed as malignant cancer. His doctor told him that if radiation did not work, amputation of his left hand was the next step.
That was the turning point in Percy s life. He rejected medical treatments and, as he had done with his sheep, he began to experiment week after week with minerals in his own diet, and he also ate low phosphorus foods.
Super-phosphate was now in wide-spread use and Percy knew it skewed the uptake of minerals by plants. He was determined to heal both his arthritis and his cancer. He believed he could do it because he had done the same for his sheep. He needed to get rid of excess phosphorus and supply lacking minerals in an absorbable powder form to restore a healthy mineral and pH balance in his body.
He was successful! First came relief from the torture of arthritis. Then the draining of blood and pus from the lump in his hand stopped. The lump shrank and became loose under his skin. He cut it out to show his doctor. His health then became excellent. Even coughs and colds became a thing of the past.
